This is the first book in a new bear series, BUT it is in the same fabulous world as all of Sable’s bear books. Bear Buns is even mentioned in this book! Sable has a unique world with mate marks and how being a mate is confirmed. Her books are always HEAs, and I’ve been loving the HEAs lately.
Alice is an independent gal who helps in keeping her sisters on the right path. I love her feisty attitude and sass. Herb is the same for his brothers. I didn’t like Herb much at the start, but neither did Alice. He turned himself around and changed my mind.
Plenty of sass and spice to entertain all shifter lovers especially if you already love Sable’s shifter world!

Like Viking warriors, the Scovilles Polar shifters were there to conquest. What powerful rivals the Quincy sisters were facing. And the worst of them was Herbert, the eldest brother. Their grandfather’s sauce was so important or there was more we didn’t know? Alice had to struggle hard against his threats and his charms because securely that hunk of shifter male had done something to her. Liked the banter, the bickering between Alice and Herbert. His ear whispering was so suggestive. Herbert was a very skilled lover that kept me interested and reading avidly all the time. What a man! Ejem, shifter! The story had romance, hot sex, some suspense, lovely descriptions and a fight. The food descriptions were yummy, there were mate marks and of course, the shoe. Voluntarily reviewed this story that I liked very much and hope his brothers had juicy traits too.
This is a hot sexy fairytale but instead of a glass slipper the polar bear shifter keep the snicker that Alice left behind. When Herb and his brother shifters stormed into the lawyers offiuce to demand the recipes that their grandfather said the five sisters grandfather stoked from hium he got more than he bargained for. First Alice a sexy curvy fiesty woman and his bear was fighting to come out. He didn't know what it was that attracted him to her but something did. Any Alice was mad at the Hot sexy shifter with a body so fine it set her female parts on fire. This story is funny and sexy and romantic all rolled into one and I loved every page of it. They fight and flirt and when he kissed her she felt things that had her head spinning. If you love shifters and hot hunky men or sexy curvy women that are sassy and strong then this is a must read book. I voluntarily decided too review this arc because it roclkroclks.I can hardly wait toitoi see what s next by this talented author.
When the Quincy Sisters wet the Scoville Brothers, tempers flair and the temperature rises along with a few other things. Alice Quincyand Herbert Scoville are the eldest of five siblings each. There seems to be a problem about the ownership of a few recipes that were created by their respected Grandfathers. But who really knows who originally made them? Temperatures and Temperatures rise as these two families get into who is who and what is what. As the eldest siblings they are the ones that will be in charge of the inheritances of their families. The younger siblings all still need to finish their higher education. As the situation continues they (Alice and Herbert) can't seem to stay angry at each other, but the attraction to each other awakens memories of a lost love they both experienced. Will these two hot heads ever find that perfect Fated Mate or will Fate finally reveal what should have always been?

This was a really enjoyable story. I liked both Alice and Herb and enjoyed how they got together.
Alice is the oldest of 5 sisters and heir to the Quincy Hot Sauce Co. Their Grandfather started the company and died recently, leaving it to Alice (and her sisters down the line). Alice is done with college and other plans for her life but family demands kept her at home.
Herb is the oldest of 5 brothers and heir to the Scoville Hot Sauce Co. His family did really well over the years and are now billionaires. But the Scoville Grandfather has never forgotten the (supposed) theft a secret hot sauce recipe by the Quincy's Grandfather.
On the day of the reading of the Quincy Grandfather's will, Alice and her sisters encounter Herb and his brothers for the first time. Herb makes it clear that he's there to get the recipe and threatens a lawsuit that the Quincy sisters don't have the money to fight. Regardless, Alice refuses to give Herb the recipe and eventually, challenges him to a cook-off and if the Quincy sisters win, Herb withdraws his lawsuit. The county fair is taking place so they both enter dishes in the fair to be judged.
The story is short so I wont go into too many details but lets just say that the cook-off is just the beginning of the story. Thing don't go as expected and there's even a twist thrown in. I liked how the twist changed the story and brought new aspects into it. Alice and Herb do wind up together and are starting on a HEA in the end.
This was a really enjoyable story Alice was a strong woman that I really liked. I wasn't sure about Herb at first but I liked him once the story got going. In the end, they made a really good couple and I liked how things turned out. This story wasn't perfect but it had characters I really liked and a story I thought was very good and engaging so I'd recommend it. )
